Role: Quantity Surveyor
Range: £35,000 to £45,000 per year
Type: Full Time, in person
As a Quantity Surveyor at Water Tecnik, you play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and competitiveness of project quotations. You will be responsible for analysing project requirements, estimating costs, and preparing detailed quotations for wastewater treatment projects. Your work directly impacts our ability to win contracts and deliver successful projects to our clients, this is a key role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Accurately estimate costs for materials, labour, and overheads involved in Industrial and Municiple wastewater treatment projects.
- Support sales team: Provide support in customer discussions, providing technical and commercial clarifications as needed.
- Quotation Preparation: Prepare detailed and competitive quotations that align with client requirements and company profitability goals.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Contract Review: Collaborate with the sales and project teams to review contract terms and conditions, ensuring clarity and feasibility.
- Budget Control: Monitor project budgets throughout the quotation process and provide recommendations to optimize cost-efficiency. Capture lessons learned from past proposals and projects to enhance future success rates.

Qualifications
Essential:
- Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- Working toward or qualified with RICS, CIOB or ICES
Experience and Knowledge
Essential:
- 3 years post qualification experience in a surveying role.
- Exceptional IT literacy including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, as well as cost value reporting procedures
- Experience in the JCT form of contract administration from a client and Sub-Contractor perspective
- Commercial awareness and astute sense of commercial risks posed
Desirable:
- Experience in a surveying role, preferably within the water treatment industry.
