We’re currently installing a highly compact and efficient effluent treatment solution for a food production customer in England — designed to tackle challenges with fats, oils, and grease (FOG) in their wastewater. This will be located in a built-up industrial estate, so this project required not only performance and reliability, but also a discreet and low-impact system that would integrate seamlessly into this area.
Our Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) system was the ideal fit. Though it’s our smallest model, this compact unit is capable of treating up to 80,000 litres of effluent per day — offering powerful treatment capacity in a space-saving design. This is proof that effective wastewater management doesn’t need to be large or intrusive.
A key feature of this installation is the inclusion of an activated carbon odour control unit — the black tank positioned at the front of the trailer. Given the site’s proximity to other businesses, odour management was a top priority. The carbon filter effectively neutralises unpleasant smells, ensuring that the system operates quietly and cleanly without disturbing neighbouring operations.
As with all our systems, this DAF unit and odour control solution were fully designed and manufactured by WaterTecnik at our facility in Newry. We specialise in designing and manufacturing high-performance systems that are tailored to the needs of modern industrial environments.
