Internally Fed Rotary Screen

Internally Fed Rotary Screen
  • High Solids Capture Efficiency
  • Screen design without running seals
  • Appropriately placed flight segments constantly conveying solids towards discharge point
  • Low energy consumption and reduced maintenance

The Internally-fed Rotary Screen is composed of a tank and a spiral connected to the drum for the transport of screening. The screen is composed of a perforated plate whose holes diameter is as big as the desired openings size. The drum is supported by nylon wheels, and it is operated by a gearbox. The filter is fed through a nozzle placed in the front of the machine. A diffuser spreads the water on a large area of the screen which, rotating, separates water from the organic particles contained. The filter is cleaned by means of a washing system composed of a tube equipped with spray nozzles for pressure water.

Suitable for the Following Industries:

Pre-treatment of both;

  • Municipal and industrial waste water
  • MBR plants

Size Options Available (WxHxD):

  • 2000 x 1500 x 900 mm
  • 2000 x 1900 x 1200 mm
  • 3000 x 1900 x 1200 mm
  • 4000 x 3300 x 1700 mm
  • 5000 x 3300 x 1700 mm

Technical Features/Performance

  • Standard perforated media spacing: 1 ~ 6mm
  • Recommended spacing for MBR application: 1 ~ 3mm
  • Full covering ensuring safe, dry, odour-free operation
  • Screen manufactured from 304 L / 316 L SS
  • Control panel (optional)

The Process

During the screen operation, the water is conveyed towards the outlet placed in the front of the machine, while the screening is transported through the spiral towards the screening outlet installed in the back of the machine. The screen special inclination towards the outlet contributes to the dewatering of screening. The screen is equipped with a by pass nozzles protecting the filter from overflows, and with an arrangement for an overflow probe.

Features and Benefits

  • External spray bar and brush preventing solids accumulation on external screen surface
  • Pivots fully adjustable and replaceable without removing screen cylinder
  • Angle of inclination is 5°, Provides longer retention time for better separation and dewatering
  • Full cylinder dewatering flights, Solids are retained within the cylinder longer to attract and capture finer solids
  • Unique headbox design, Distributes flow evenly along both sides of the screen cylinder
  • Headbox trough can be completely removed at the influent without disassembling the unit. Designed to keep maintenance time to a minimum
  • External spray bar and brush, Prevents solids accumulation on screen exterior
  • Trunnions are fully adjustable and replaceable without removing the screen cylinder, Easy access, minimal downtime
  • Screens is designed with no running seals, No seals to wear and cause by-passing.
